The Howitzer and Buzz-saw Show

Apr 26, 2017

Longtime listeners of the Howitzer and Buzz-saw Show may recall that stink bugs equal championships. Even though stinkbugs are not as evident this Spring, we are in the midst of one of the busiest times on the sports calendar. George "the Howitzer" Gerbo and Mike "the Buzz-saw" Asti are here to discuss the pursuit of crowning champions, with or without stink bugs.

The NHL has its premiere series with another edition of Penguins and Capitals in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Will this series lose ratings to the NFL Draft? Is it an indictment of the current format that these two teams have to meet in the second round? Are the Penguins just simply too deep for Washington to handle? How should Alexander Ovechkin's legacy be treated with another failure to reach an Eastern Conference Final? Mike defends Ovechkin, claiming he has rarely had the supporting cast Sidney Crosby has. Can the remaining East teams or anyone in the West actually stop the winner of Pittsburgh or Washington?

The Howitzer and Buzz-saw Show, conquering sports radio, one day, at a time....
