The Howitzer and Buzz-saw Show

Jan 19, 2020

It's a new year and new decade of the Howitzer and Buzz-saw Show. And on the first show of 2020, the asinine news is at a premium for George "the Howitzer" Gerbo and Mike "the Buzz-saw" Asti.

Another cheating scandal is taking over Major League Baseball, this one putting recent championships in question and costing three managers their jobs, including one just hired a few months ago. The first hour of the show is full of analysis and debate on a scandal that's been transcending the sport. Where do the Astros, Red Sox and Mets go from here? How widespread has sign-stealing been throughout the history of the game? Should any of the players also face punishment? Mike also ponders why fans and those in the baseball community seem to have more of an issue with sign stealing than they do steroid use and compares the aftermath of this scandal to how scandals of the past were handled.

In the second hour of the HBS, George and Mike discuss the NFL playoffs and predict which teams will represent the AFC and NFC in the Super Bowl. Which team has been the best all season? Which team has the most pressure to win? Which team is least likely to actually win it all if they earn the right to play in the big game?

The Howitzer and Buzz-saw Show, conquering sports radio, now in a new year AND new decade, one day, at a time....
