The Howitzer and Buzz-saw Show

Feb 10, 2023

You know it's been a wild week in sports when the Super Bowl takes a backseat to other news, especially even news concering the host city of where the big game is being played.

On this super episode of the Howitzer and Buz-saw Show, Mike "the Buzz-saw" Asti and George "the Howitzer" Gerbo disect the chaos that was the NBA Trade Deadline before giving their picks for Super Bowl LVII.

Kevin Durant is a Sun. Kyrie Irving is in Dallas. The Lakers finally unloaded Russell Westbrook and added D'Angelo Russell among other pieces. Moves were made. The dynamic of the league has completely changed all over the NBA. Who do these deals mean for this postseason now? Why did the Nets end up trading KD even though he had 3 years left on his contract? Mike and George debate how much pressure is on Durant to deliver the Suns a chmapionship. How much better are the Lakers without Westbrook? Are there deals that should have been made that weren't? All that and much more when it comes to the NBA talk.

The NBA hogs most of the show, deservingly so, but Mike and George do discuss the path to hoist the Lombardi Trophy for both the Eagles and Chiefs. Which people involved in the game can increase their legacy the most with a win? Which team is more likely to be able to return next year?

It's a super edition of the HBS, conquering sports talk, one day, at a time...
